What it is
Synchronet BBS ships with lord.js, Deuce's JavaScript remake of Seth Robinson's Legend of the Red Dragon: almost 18,000 lines that play like the original. LORD FP ports it, function by function, to Free Pascal, so the game plays the same but runs as an ordinary door program.
It has the full single-BBS game: the forest, the Inn and Violet, Turgon's masters, the Red Dragon, player fights, marriage, the daily news, mail and the bar. The inter-BBS game server and RIP graphics are not included.
DOS version · LORDFP.ZIP
A 16-bit LORD.EXE and LORDCFG.EXE that use LORD 4.06's own data files. Start a fresh game, or replace the programs in an existing LORD 4.06 game, whose players, mail and In-Game Modules carry on. Runs under dosemu2 on Synchronet for Linux, or on real DOS.
Linux version · LORDFPL.ZIP
Native lord and lordcfg programs for Synchronet and other Linux BBSes. They use lord.js's data files, so they can also take over an existing lord.js game, and they run DOS LORD IGMs under dosemu2.
Windows version · LORDFPW.ZIP
64-bit lord.exe and lordcfg.exe: a DOOR32.SYS door that talks to the caller over the socket the BBS hands it, for Synchronet, Mystic and other Windows BBSes. Same game files as the Linux version; DOS LORD IGMs run in DOSBox-X, which is included.

Building from source
All three versions build on Linux with Free Pascal 3.2.2: the Linux one with the normal compiler, the DOS one with the i8086 cross compiler (large memory model), the Windows one with the win64 units. BUILD.TXT in LORDSRC.ZIP explains each, including a small fix for FPC 3.2.2's i8086 runtime library.
Play it
Both versions run on the Kalgoorlie Retro BBS. Telnet to bbs.theiguru.au (port 23), press X for the games, then pick LORD - Free Pascal Build (the DOS version) or LORD - Native Linux. How to connect.
